About
I am an artist and a studio member of The Royal Standard in Liverpool; a studio, gallery and social workspace.
I’m often drawn to seemingly random things that I come across in everyday life. It’s these encounters that form the inspiration for most of my work. I develop infatuations or crushes on things that are often derived from something simple such as an impulsive notion or an amusing discovery; fake animals, golden nuggets or elaborate moustaches are some recent examples. Conveying the typically charming and whimsical nature of these things informs the playful and humorous qualities of my work, however darkness sometimes appears. These inherently varied foundations and influences have resulted in a diverse collection of cross-disciplinary work.
